Reunification

Reuniting the homeless with their families is a necessary part of the ATOLW mission. In collaboration with Miracle Messages, we want to develop relationships with our unhoused neighbors and get to know them. If possible, we would like to reconcile them with their families.
Some of our unhoused neighbors find safety in retreating from their families for various reasons, while others may find refuge when or if they can return. If connections are successful, we make travel arrangements to reunite families anywhere in the United States.

Ministering

Ministering is the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is the litmus test for any humanitarian. Providing comfort by listening to people about their circumstances, and showing support through offering encouragement and hope, are just a few of the attributes of ministering. Providing clothing, food, and hygiene is only a gateway to reminding our unhoused neighbors that they are not alone or forgotten.

ATOLW volunteers let those we serve feel sincere interest and love through:

  • Prayer with and for the improvement of other’s circumstances has the power to strengthen their faith and their potential.
  • Music is another impactful part of ministry that moves and motivates us in preparation to hear the word of God.
  • Evangelism is the ministry component that connects people with the spiritual support that sustains them.
